Donald W. Gray, 71 years old of Burlington, WI passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 at Willowfield Nursing & Rehabilitation, Delavan, WI. He was born January 8, 1942 in Johnstown, PA the son of the late Milton and Frances (Kusher) Gray. Don had lived in Round Lake, IL, Lake Shangri-La, (Bristol) WI, Florida, and Fox Lake, IL before settling in Burlington. He proudly served and in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 22 years. He was a life member of the VFW Post #4551 of Antioch and had taught electronics at the Great Lakes Naval Base for the College of Lake County for one year. Later in his career, he worked for Farmers Insurance, retiring after 10 years, and most recently worked for Enterprise. Don also enjoyed golfing. On May 6, 2000, he married Barbara (Mueller) Walkey.

Survivors include his wife, Barb; children, Peter of Jacksonville, FL, William (Julie) of McHenry, IL, Joseph (Theresa) of Grayslake, IL, Cynthia (Kevin Scharboro) Gray of Chicago, April Miller-Okrzesik of Mobile, AL, and Jennifer (Glen) Ewert of Genoa City, WI; grandchildren, Stefan, Ariel, Andrew, Steven, Stephen, Timothy, Hannah, Dustin, Michael, Raymond, and Cayleen; and a brother, Milton Ronald (Judith) Gray of Severn, MD. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Kehl.

Funeral services with Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10AM Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Prince of Peace Church, 135 S. Milwaukee, Ave., Lake Villa, IL. Interment will be private. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Friday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL. INFO 847-395-4000.
