Charles M. Tanner, 73, of Antioch, IL, passed away November 21, 2009 at home. 
He was born December 10, 1935 in Waukegan, IL.  He was a member of Antioch V.F.W. Post 4551 (Past Commander), Polish Legion of American Veterans, Casimir Pulaski Post 25.  Survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia; sons, Mark Tanner of Antioch, John (Helen) Tanner of Antioch; and daughter, Joyce (Max) Steplyk of Pleasant Prairie, WI; grandsons, Michael and Lucas Steplyk and Eric Tanner. Preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Mary Tanner; and beloved infant grandson, Matthew Tanner. 
Charles served in Korea with the 82nd Airborne. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his trips to Canada.  Charles retired from Commonwealth Edison, Overhead Construction with 37 years of service. 
Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, November 27th at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL. Interment Ascension Cemetery.
