ames H. Ploughman: 79 years old of Antioch, IL, passed away peacefully Sunday November 23, 2025. He was born February 3, 1946, in Chicago, Il. James was the son of the late Edwin and Bernice (Anderson) Mosely. He lived in Antioch, IL until 2001, when he moved with his wife to Tennessee, returning to Antioch, IL in 2017.  James proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1964 – 1967.  He retired in 2001 as the Captain of the firehouse at Mitchell Field; having worked as a Fireman at both Glenview Naval Air Base and Mitchell Field for over 25 years.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #827, the Antioch VFW Post 4551, served as a volunteer fireman for the Antioch Fire Department, the Rescue Squad, and the Dive team for over 25 years.  More than anything Jim loved being with his family and friends. On March 27, 1982 he married Gail Ann Oetting in Waukegan, IL, and she preceded him in death on September 28, 2018.

Decedents include Jim’s four daughters: Shannon Marie (Tom) Hensel of Oxford, MI, Michelle (Mike) Oesch of Crystal Lake, IL, Shannon Lyn (Dan) Grote of Lake Geneva, WI, and Dawn Mayland of Antioch, IL; six grandchildren: Haley Oesch, Samantha Goheen, Zachary Hensel, L.Cpl. Jake Grote, USMC, Hannah Oesch, and Sarah Hensel; and two great-granddaughters Madilyn Hunter and Baylee Goheen.
