Wilbert August Kirschke, 91 years old of Antioch, IL.  He was born April 21, 1925 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Erich and Elsa (Muhs) Kirschke.  He attended Glenview and New Trier Schools and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  On April 17, 1948, he married Alice Engelking and they settled in Antioch in 1953.  Wilbert was a member of the VFW Post #4551, Antioch, IL.  He worked for 23 years at the Great Lakes Naval Base in the public works department and retired in 1987.
